Welcome to Sunhats and Travel Maps!

172 empty bottles of sunblock recycled and counting. In a few weeks we will again get the chance to push forward the needle on our counter and drain a few more bottles of much needed SPF.

Ok full disclosure we live year-round in South West Florida and probably push that needle forward weekly. I have the UV Lens app on the home screen of my phone and my daughter checks the index every morning.

We have our everyday brands and we have our vacation brands. At times we have a partial beach bottle to finish, and in the moment of getting two kids ready for school I can close my eyes and smell…. VACATION!

Medical Conferences, Family Trips and R n R

Most of our travel is broken down into Medical Conferences, Family Trips and R n R. In a few short weeks we will pull out the sunhats, travel maps and luggage for a medical conference on the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos. My wife has a conference booked that is being held at Beaches Island resort. The water is so clear that you can drop a quarter 20 feet to the bottom of the ocean and still read the date. Well, maybe not read the date. But you could still see the quarter and that is pretty impressive.

When we return, we will have photos, videos of the resort and our family’s reviews and remarks to share with you. As we travel, we want to share our trips to provide inspiration, tips and reviews to help you and your family find ways to empty your sunblock bottles.

Check back in with us in a few weeks, we will be pulling out the top shelf vacation sunblock to take with us on our upcoming adventure. I can smell the beach just typing this post.
